Contemporary Painting, Abstract Art, Expressionism, “UNTITLED” by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

When painting an abstract, I don't have an exact plan for the outcome. I am conscious of the color mixtures that I enjoy and play around with the combinations, adding texture and linear marks to give the painting depth. "Untitled", an acrylic abstract painting, with it's beautiful color and movement makes me feel uplifted!

Contemporary Painting, Abstract Art, Expressionism, “AMALFI CLIFFS I” by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

When giving this painting a title, the colors and texture reminded me of waters of the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

Contemporary Painting, Abstract Art, Expressionism, “Social Distancing” by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

Social distancing hasn't been difficult for me knowing that it seems to be the best way to curtail the spread of COVID-19. Recently, or my own amusement, I let my brush take off in the direction it wanted to go and as a result, "Social Distancing", a black and white acrylic abstract painting appeared. I like it a lot!

Abstract Art, Expressionism, “RIGHT BRAINED” by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

To title this acrylic, abstract, painting, I went round and round with my impression of it. The shapes and movement keep the eye engaged so that was what I hoped to see when I completed the painting. The tittle speaks to the way an artist's brain sees! Thank God, I seem to have a bit of the left brain traits to go with the creative creature that I am!
