There is always excitement when you bring an abstract painting to life! What you are feeling and seeing in your mind is realized through the use of various tools and paint brushes. "Flourish II" is a floral, acrylic, abstract work recalling memories of gardens I have visited. The painting is custom framed in a contemporary gold floater frame.

Color is the only concept in my mind as I begin to paint this abstract painting on canvas, Rhythm and Blues. Caligraphy creates shapes, suggest color, followed by various color washes which are built upon layer by layer, to create a dynamic composition. Personal experience, preferences, and developed skills become part of the complete workof art.
